Our culinary philosophy

Thomas Haselwanter is not only a master chef but has also succeeded in developing his own unmistakable style of cooking. He believes in the careful preparation of the best ingredients and in interpreting a traditional recipe in a modern way.

If you visit the Unterwirt you will be presented with many little surprises! So it is that you will find a selection of homemade bread and rolls on the table, which can only be a foretaste of culinary delights to come. The following courses reflect the seasonal products available.

Last but not least, the lady of the house, Connie Haselwanter. In 2003 she won the accredited title of wine waiter of the year. She can be relied upon to recommend the perfect wine to accompany your meal. Allow yourself to be "led" into the wine cellars of the Unterwirt restaurant and enjoy a bottle of local wine or one from selected from another part of the world. This wine cellar holds some welcome surprises!
